Staying in Touch

While your on a cruise it's important to know how to keep in touch with your family and friends.  All ships have an emergency number you can leave with everyone, that you get either from your cruise line or your agent.  Most ships offer a variety of ways to communicate with your family through their satellite system.  They all have phone service, internet cafe's, fax machines and postal service.  It is extremely expensive to use the ship to shore phones to call in OR out!  The average cost is $9.00 a minute!  I personally use the internet cafe's to email my family every other day.  This is probably your most economical choice. 

Carnival Removes Fuel Supplement Charges

Carnival Corporation has recently announced they will remove the fuel supplement charge from all 2008 and 2009 sailings.  However, they plan to roll these charges into the fares on 2010 cruises.  Carnival is one of the world's largest cruise lines and was founded in 1972.  They are popularly referred to as "The Party Boats"!

Disney Holiday Cruise

Princess Cruises will christen Ruby Princess in November

Would you like to know WHO is christening this ship?  It's Trista and Ryan Sutter!  Yes, the famous bachelor and bachelorette who met on t.v. five years ago!  Trista was America's first bachelorette and Ryan ( a very handsome firefighter ) was the man she picked and later married.  They now live in Vail, Colorado with their one year old son, Max.  The Ruby Princess will be christened on November 6 in Fort Lauderdale.  The ship carries 3,070 passengers and will be making seven-day weekly cruises from Fort Lauderdale to the Western Caribbean.  For more information on Princess Cruises you can visit:  www.princess.com
